3 things you need to know before heading out!

  1. The trails have a great entry point directly from Xperience Kouchibouguac so you don’t have to drive anywhere if you don’t want to before hitting the trails! (This entry point is a full multi-use trail that gets used in the winter as well for skiing and snowshoeing!)
  2. Before heading out, you might want to plan a nice route as there are so many options! To do so, you can visit the Kouchibouguac National Park website below, consult the Trailforks App, or even stop in at the Visitors Information Center along the way for a map and distances of all the trails! You can ride as long or as little as you want but be prepared for a great ride!

A couple of ideas to get you started are

to head north to follow the edge of the river until the lagoon, or to go east towards the beach following peaceful wooden trails. If you want to extend your adventure, from either of these directions, head across Black River to the other side towards Pointe-Sapin for a one-way trip.

  3. Along the way, there are stops to take a break with picnic tables and benches for a nice mid-ride snack! And don’t worry there are washrooms at a couple of buildings on route as well!

Now you know about all the cycling trail features but make sure to save some time for a hike, a walk on the beach, or even relaxing with your feet up by the campfire at XperienceKouchibouguac’s beautiful cabins!

I had a blast, and I am sure you will too!
